Il post processore BREEZE 3D Analyst permette di analizzare e visualizzare i risultati delle simulazioni dei modelli BREEZE AERMOD/ISC Pro e Pro Plus, BREEZE Incident Analyst, e BREEZE CALPUFF in svariati formati che aiutano a meglio comprendere, interpretare e riepilogare i risultati delle simulazioni.
In particolare SOLO nella versione di Breeze 3D Analyst inclusa nella versione Breeze AERMOD Pro Plus c’è la possibilità di creare le animazioni.
Creating Animations in BREEZE 3D Analyst (only release Pro Plus)
For BREEZE AERMOD/ISC in particular, the Pro and Pro Plus editions differ by the amount of post-processing capabilities available in 3D Analyst. While 3D Analyst for AERMOD Pro includes a number of powerful tools, the Pro Plus edition includes all of those tools as well as a handful of additional features such as the ability to create contribution and distribution charts for further data manipulation and analysis, as well as the ability to create animations of results.
With BREEZE AERMOD/ISC Pro Plus, creating animations of your results is easy with BREEZE 3D Analyst. These animations can serve as great visual tools when presenting your modeling results to colleagues or clients. To create an animation of your AERMOD results in BREEZE 3D Analyst, follow the steps below:
- When setting up your run in BREEZE AERMOD/ISC Pro Plus, check Post files on the Output Options tab and select the output types to display in the results on the Post Files tab.
- The option to view graphical results in 3D Analyst will pop up after a successful AERMOD run with Post files selected. Select Analyze model results with 3D Analyst and click OK to launch 3D Analyst in a separate window.
- Once the program opens, you will be asked to import Plot data or Post data. Choose Post data and the type of results you would like to view. (Note: The screenshot below shows Other_all_24-hr as an example.) Click OK.
- Select the time period for which you would like to view the results. Click OK.
- Next, go to the Map tab to view the Contour settings and customize if desired. Click the Contour Level icon in the Quick Access Toolbar to access the Contour Level options.
Note: If this icon is missing, select the dropdown icon to customize the Quick Access toolbar and select Contour Levels.
To change the contour level, select the dataset you would like to modify (e.g., Other_all_24-hr) and modifying the number of levels, threshold values, and colors accordingly. Once the contours have been set to the desired values, click Apply and then OK.
- Before creating the animation, review these helpful tips to best display your animation file:
- The image displayed on the Map tab will be what is shown in the animation, so be sure you are zoomed in or out far enough.
- If you do not want model objects (e.g., the source) or the high concentration label to be shown, go to Appearance on the left hand side of the screen, go to Layers, and unselect Polygon Objects and/or High Values. This will remove these from showing in the Map tab and as a result in the animation.
- Click on Animate in the Output section of the Map tab to open the Animation options
- Select the time period(s) that you want to include in the animation selecting the frame rate and the location and font for the time stamp if you would like this included in your animation
- Click Animate and save the animation file in the desired folder. The animation may take a few minutes to create depending on the number of results it will include.
- Go to the folder where the animation file was saved to open and view the animation.
